About Course

Foundations of AI for Non-Technical Professionals is a rigorous but accessible AI programme for the compliance, legal, risk, audit, and general management professionals who need to understand AI well enough to work with it — without becoming AI engineers themselves. Deliberately no maths, no code, and no equations, but no dumbing down either. The goal: enough understanding to ask good questions, read reports critically, and hold substantive conversations with AI teams.

By the end you will understand what AI is and what it is not; the main techniques and how they differ; the strengths and weaknesses of the main families; the specific vulnerabilities of AI systems; and the vocabulary you need to engage with AI teams as an equal.

Structure

  • 6 modules, each accessible to non-technical readers
  • 24 CPD hours across 5-6 weeks
  • One summative assessment — a technical brief for a non-technical audience, testing your ability to translate
